I fell in love with storytelling long before I could read or write. I would listen, spellbound, as my grandmother told me stories about her escape from Russia and her life as an orphan.
Her stories smelled of lilac and sun-speckled dust, and tasted of borsht and multi-colored jello. Because of my grandmother, all my stories float around food at some point.

On the side, I've been a magazine editor, and I still edit screenplays and novels for my friends. But what I love is writing short fiction.
The stories I wrote and narrate here are a tribute to my grandmother.
