Limbootimboonche Divas - When I Was A Little Girl

Duration 15m 13s

mp3 download

The greatest asset of any nation is its new generation. They will either make or break it with the tools we equip them with. Mr. Prabhakar Deodhar, former chairman of the Electronics Commision and advisor on electronics policy to Rajiv Gandhi, calls TV the Third Parent, implying a solemn duty on part of producers and advertisers towards its young viewers. Yet, as involved, caring and alert parents, can we sit back and helplessly accept the onslaught of unhealthy TV and computer programs our kids are subjected to? Each parent may feel helpless in reversing the tide of sex and violence. But if we join hands (or should I say feet !) our individual small steps will turn into a giant leap for sure!

Dear Subodhkumar, Seema, Yaatrii & All Anonymous Writers:

Thank you very much for your compliments and the efforts you are taking to spread the word about the program. I am very happy to note that you find the subject matters relevant and make you introspect. Sensitivity about the world we are living in and awareness of the issues is the first step towards changing it. The world is becoming more complex every day and it seems the key to peace and happiness would be going back to the basics. But just as common sense is the most uncommon thing, simplicity has become the most difficult thing to practice! I will be touching upon this subject in the next episode. It is a story of two wonderful men who are standing like the Rock of Gibralter in today's volatile world of business.

me, my family members and my friends have immensely loved your maraThee podcasts for their deep felt and relevant subject matter, clear and concise presentation, beautiful language and ofcourse the delightful dholki. i am taking extra efforts to spread the word among as many friends as possible so that more maraThee people around the world take part in this event and increase the momentum of this movement. the relevance of the subject matter was just driven home when just after listening to the mor pis, 'limbutimboonche divas' for the umpteenth time while introducing the podcast to yet another marathi friend, the virginia tech news stunned all of us !

please keep up the good work and I hope you get all the support you need to keep this going healthy.

regards, yaatrii
