Or acquiring the ability to decipher the bookish knowledge and develop empathy and deeper understanding of the purpose of life? Of course, formal education goes a long way in helping us earn a great livelihood. It also expands our intellectual horizons. But from time to time, all of us come across some remarkable personalities displaying the deepest understanding of the purpose of life in the absence of any formal education. In other words, formal education is not essential to develop these traits. But unfortunately, most of us are not blessed with this intrinsic, inborn wisdom. Therefore, it is crucial that our formal education should make a conscious effort to instill it in us from a very young age.
