We all wish to change the world.....of course, for better. Military aggressions, insurgencies, profiteering by manufacturers and advertisers, religious fanaticism, greed for power, indiscretion by media, abuse of nature, neglect of helpless kids, extortion of powerless…..Our hearts truly go out, we feel rightfully indignant. Wonderful, but what next? Do we lift a finger to make even the smallest of difference? We justify our inaction in the name of the enormity of these intricate issues. But is each one of us only a non-descript screw in a humongous hunk of machinery ? Or is each one of us a piece of a jigsaw puzzle created by God? Each piece is just as important to complete His beautiful picture. So let’s not diminish or deprecate the very purpose of our existence. After all, as Americans say, ninety nine cents don’t make a dollar! You need that last cent.
