Life in the Indian Public sector Steel industry

The initial years of the Indian steel industry (Public Sector) under the aegis of Hindustan Steel Limited were really eventful years. We who were the earliest recruits had very interesting experiences ranging from the profound to the solemn to the ridiculous. The foundation of the steel industry was laid in those years. In those days of limited foreign exchange, cut throat competition between the rising top executives,and uninformed misled labour agitation, it was a thrilling experience to work in the steel industry. This podcast purports to be a humble recounting of those experiences. It also reinforced one's faith in the Almighty that ispite of the Babus (The executives) and Bhayyas(The workers), the steel indutsry managed to survive so long !!
